About the project

Applying Relationships Science to Contemporary Interventions is a collaborative project between the University of Sheffield, the University of East Anglia, the University of Southampton, the University of Sussex, and the University of Bristol, funded by the ESRC (grant number ES/L001365/1).

The three-year collaborative programme of seminar series is designed to facilitate dialogue around relationships science between key stakeholders in contemporary interventions. The programme will connect relationships science research expertise from academia and charitable organisations together with developers of contemporary interventions in the private and third sectors. The events are free to attend.

Applying Relationships Science to Contemporary Interventions aims to address the biggest issues in contemporary interventions today – motivation, engagement, and adherence – using relationships science.

Bringing leading experts in the field of relationships research together with developers of contemporary interventions, we aim to provide a forum for discussion and knowledge exchange. Through applying a shared knowledge gleaned through social psychology, we can ultimately improve the implementation and effectiveness of contemporary interventions.
