Biography

Jenni is a CBT Psychotherapist and Occupational Therapist with a background in NHS adult and older adult mental health services. Since 1999 she has worked with people who experience a combination of physical and mental health problems.

She currently works within the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust Community Services with people who have a respiratory and/or cardiac problem and are experiencing anxiety and/or depression in relation to their physical health problems. Jenni has training in acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I).

She also teaches one day a week at the University of Sheffield Psychology Department, providing training to CBT psychotherapists on working with people who experience physical health conditions.

This is Jenni's first experience in a research role. Beginning January 2017 on a secondment for six months. Jenni completed a module on clinical research for health care workers at Sheffield Hallam University as part of a postgraduate diploma.
