Biography
I am a Lecturer in Information and Operation Management at the University of Sheffield Management School. Before joining the University of Sheffield in 2019, I was a tenure Associate Professor at University of Tehran and Visiting Professor at University of Valencia. My research focuses on understanding how users perceive transformative technologies' affordances and risks and consequently, whether they accept, resist, re-use, or engage with the technology in their daily life or workplaces.
I am particularly interested in developing our knowledge of digital transformation theories in healthcare, where innovations such as AI hold a bold promise of improving clinical outcomes, reducing human errors, and delivering cost-effective and patient-centric services. Besides understanding the institutional values of transformative technologies in healthcare, my current and recent research spans investigating and forecasting users' (whether health service providers or patients) behaviour in applying IoT or IoMT, AI and robotics.
