I have been working in the field of health research since 2001, and during this time I have qualified as a speech and language therapist and completed my PhD thesis which explored the experience of participation in stroke survivors.

My particular research expertise is in qualitative methodologies, although I enjoy working within a mixed methods approach. I am interested in improving the experience of people living with long-term illness and disability, and in inclusivity in research.
